Q1 Why are you splitting VBL Crowdfunding into 2 parts?
Recently, international payment institutions have become much stricter in their scrutiny of games, and this is one part of our strategy to lower the risk of losing money raised. We will begin our crowfunding efforts with a Pre-Launch on Kaede Tsuuhan (Henceforth referred to as Kaede Store) with a focus on backers living in Japan.
Q2 How will the total amount raised be calculated?
Once the Pre-Launch on Kaede Store ends and all payments are accounted for on the 31st of July, that amount will be taken into consideration when calculating the amount raised past the Kickstarter's Initial Goal, and will contribute towards the Stretch Goals.
Q3 How will payments be handled
On Kickstarter, it will be business as usual with pledges made via Credit or Debit Card, while the post-Kickstarter Backerkit and Pre-Order STore will accept both cards and PAYPAL. On Kaede Store, only Direct Bank Transfers will be accepted.
Q4 Comparing Kickstarter and Kaede Store, will the Reward Tiers be different in any way?
In general, the reward tiers and their contents will not change at all, with the one exception being that anything purchased via Kaede Store will automatically be the Japanese Version (For example, the artbook or digital key).
Kaede Store also does not offer international shipping.
Q6 Will Kaede Store not be accepting post KS pledges during the Pre-Order Store Period?
When the Kickstarter is live, Kaede Store's VB LAGOON Pre-Launch will be taken down temporarily, but will go up once more during the Pre-Order Store period in order to accept Pre-Orders.
Q7 Can we pledge to Kaede Store from overseas?
Kaede Store only offers domestic shipping inside of Japan. If you really want to support us ASAP, then you can consider using a forwarding service inside of Japan. The alternative would be to just wait for the Kickstarter to go live.
Please also keep in mind that Kaede Store only accepts payments via Direct Bank Transfer.
Q8 With Japan getting first dibs, is it possible that you will run out of spots for the Top Pledge?!
Please do not worry, we have a number of slots for the top pledge set aside separately for both Kaede Store and the Kickstarter, so all our backers will have a fair and equal chance to pledge for tiers with limited slots!
